Meet Liana

Founder Liana Percoco blends movement, touch, and mindfulness to help people feel at home in their bodies. Originally from Burlington, Vermont, she relocated to Boston in 2013 after spending over a decade in Chicago.

Trained in Dance and Choreography at Columbia College Chicago, Liana has performed, choreographed, and taught across the country. Her work as a performing artist inspired her 15+ year career in massage therapy, where she integrates techniques including Asian Bodywork, Orthopedic Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and cupping. She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Liana founded Soma Zen around the belief that our bodies are our primary vessel for experiencing and expressing life. This philosophy of somatic citizenry guides her work—when we learn to be good citizens of our own bodies, we are better able to be present, connected and compassionate citizens of the world around us. Whether through massage, movement or mindful practice, her goal is to create space for healing, awareness and calm attentiveness.

Outside of the studio, Liana enjoys vegetarian cooking, hiking, biking, live music and spending time with her husband, their two kids and their orange cat, Mango.
